Personal Style: Knit Picky

Keeping warm elegantly.

Hey guys! Sorry it's so late; I was out and about doing important things (eating Indian food) earlier this evening. Today being the gray (but warm) day that it was, I decided to feature a striped sweater in today's – tonight's – post.

Stripey sweaters can totally take on a sophisticated look, though, with a dark maxi skirt, refined clutch, and dressy ballet flats. To kick it up another notch, you could even replace the maxi with a high-low skirt (a tail from above-knee to ankles is perfect!) and pumps. Just like in the first look, balance long with short. Since the skirt is ankle-length, pushing my sleeves up past my elbows is a good way to go. To keep the more dressy look, stay in a similar color family, in desaturated tones, for your entire outfit. I chose black, grey, dark blue and mauve.

I hope this post inspired you to rock your striped knits in new ways. Have fun seeking out the full potential of stripes this summer, them being the "IT" pattern of the season and all...
