Wearing these pants, I am distressed no longer...

What's the best way to wear denim? Head to toe, of course! The sky is finally clearing after a depressingly gray morning, and I was inspired by its almost unnatural, totally gorgeous hue!

Remember to mix up the shades of blue to keep things interesting--I wore a dark, a medium, and a light wash in this outfit. I'm in love with the way distressed denim adds interest to an outfit like this, so I'm wearing ripped jeans and a distressed denim cuff. An oversize top, skinny pants, and hidden wedges elongate and slim your legs visibly, and rolling up the sleeves on a shirt like this is a good idea because otherwise the extra material might swallow you up (even if you aren't petite). A thin cuff on longer pants is a good idea too because it reduces bulk around your ankle and creates that perfect tapered look, as well as drawing the eye to awesome footwear. Sport the half-shaved-head look without ditching gorgeous locks by creating a deep side part and scooping your hair onto the opposite shoulder. Kinky curls or super-straight hair work best for this.

Have fun with this! Let me know in the comments what your favorite color of denim is--classic blue, bombshell red, or cheery prints?
